Harriet Livesey, 22, from Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, was awarded the Bomford Prize when she graduated from Harper Adams University in late September.
Harriet received the Bomford Prize for being the best student out of the FdSc business courses.She completed the FdSc Business Management with Marketing course with distinction.
Course manager, Pam Whitehouse said: “Harriet wrote an excellent final year project on small-scale food businesses and whether they are able to create a recognisable brand in UK farm shops.”
The 22-year-old comes from a beef farm, which also runs a mushroom growing business.
Harriet said: “My ambition is to establish my own agricultural enterprise producing artisan beer from the family farm’s waste mushrooms.”
After graduating from Harper Adams University she has secured a job working as a category and publications marketing assistant at Travis Perkins in Northampton.
The award was presented by Dr Geoffrey Davies OBE.
